How Cyber Begging Works
Cyber begging couldn't be made more easier! iBeggar.com makes creating a personal cyber begging page as easy as 1-2-3!!
STEP ONE
Create Your Beg Page
After you sign up for iBeggar.com, you can click on the "POST A BEG" button located at the top of the page. You will then see the screen below.
On the "Create a beg" page:
- Write a catchy Beg Title.
- Write a 1 to 2 sentence Beg Summary.
- Now for the Beg Message. Be honest, tell your story the best way you can, but don't exaggerate. SPELLING COUNTS!!! Make sure you spell everything correctly (you can copy & paste into a word document program and perform a spell check). Express yourself and mention things that might touch the hearts or draw in attention from potential donators. Make it clear exactly what the money will be used for and clearly describe your situation. If you are creating a page for an organization, please mention the name and location and describe your group.
- ENTER YOUR PAYPAL EMAIL!!! This is the only way you will get paid! If you don't provide a PayPal email address, you will not be able to receive donations. PayPal is the safe, secure and if donators ask to send you donations via personal check, wire transfer or any other form of payment, please refuse to do so. To save you from potential donation fraud, please trust us and use PayPal to accept donations only.
- Featured (optional). If you want more exposure for your donation page, you can click on the Featured checkbox ($9.95). When you do so, your donation page will be featured under the "Featured Beg Listings" on the home page of our website. The home page receives the most web traffic on our site and your donation page has a better chance of being seen as opposed to being seen in only the category pages alone.
- Picture. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you have a picture that may move or enhance your donation page, please feel free to add it.
- Make your beg stand out! (optional): If you would like your donation page to stand out from the other donation pages that are listed on the same page you can do a Bold Title (additional $2) and/or a Red Title (additional $2).
- Charity/Political is optional.
- Categories - Select the appropriate category in which your donation page fits into. Please do not select more than 3 categories.
- When you are done click on the Post my beg button. To Post a Beg, a small monthly subscription fee via PayPal of only $5 a month will be applied. You may unsubscribe at any time by going to your My Begs page which is located after you click on your name (in the blue button) in the top right hand corner of any iBeggar web page.
STEP TWO
SHARE! SHARE!! SHARE!!!
Your donation page may be seen by people who browse our website and it might get listed in the search engines, but this is not enough. You will have to do some of the leg work yourself by promoting your donation page to others. Share your donation page with your email contacts, your family, friends, and relatives. Your donation page has a Social feature where you can click the Facebook Share and Tweet buttons. You can also use the "Share This" feature on your donation page to promote it to other social media sites. Doing this will dramatically increase the traffic to your page and the donations you receive. - See more at:

STEP THREE
Collect Donations
Whenever you receive a donation, you will get an email from Paypal (see below). This will let you know if anyone has donated to you. You can also check your PayPal account periodically for donations because as we all know, sometimes emails get lost through filters or mixed in with your other emails.
Secondly, you can always see the amount of donations you receive by going to My Profile after you login to your account. Under "My Profile" in the Account Status box, you will see stats about your beg postings.
The last two stats show the "Number of Donations(s)" and "payments received".
